Jamie Thompson

Agency Owner

I have been helping families, individuals, and business owners in Georgia and South Carolina communities since 2001. My vast experience in the areas of financial services, insurance and business help me to navigate all things insurance for my clients, providing understanding for risk management. My clients are dedicated customers (and the best referral source) because they know that I have a unique skill in handling complex insurance needs with precision.

A Vidalia native, I have resided and worked in Southeast Georgia for most of my career. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications with emphasis on Public Relations.

When I am not working with families, college students, first-time homebuyers, boaters, and business owners to protect their assets, I enjoy spending time with my family on the beach at Tybee Island or in the mountains of western North Carolina. My wife and I met at church camp in the late 70’s. We have one son who will soon embark on his own college journey. We also have a rescue dog named Lady Belle T, who is an Olympic gold medalist in the sport of begging for table food. We are blessed to live within driving distance of our parents and siblings. Family is at the heart of all that we do, whether we are meeting for a holiday or meeting with a client to protect a family.

Giving back was instilled in me and my younger sister early on. And my wife has worked in in the nonprofit sector for most of her career. As a result, I am no stranger to donning a fundraising event t-shirt and doing whatever is asked of me. It’s been my honor to support many charitable causes along the way, including American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Backpacks for Buddies, Junior Achievement of Georgia, March of Dimes, United Way of the Coastal Empire, and YMCA Coastal Georgia. My work is far from done. Covenant Insurance will continue to support charitable causes.

I know through decades of business experience that my livelihood only exists for the benefit of the client, and that serving others is at the core of any successful enterprise, including mine. I understand that protecting your assets, your life, and planning for your retirement can sometimes be overwhelming. Nonetheless, I am able, committed, and passionate about providing solutions to meet these critical needs now and in the future. I will make the process simple and affordable.
